NOT AS GOOD AS THE IOS APP!

Dont support retina screen

First resolution is very bad! As in the title there is no support of retina display. Plus there is no mean to turn the app in full screen AND when your try to change size of window you have some creepy whites bands at top. For 5$ I was expecting way better! A suggestion for the developers : add possibility to use it as screensaver. Please dont let us regret giving you money! For now its one star for me

it works but

needs major bug and performance improvements!!!

room for improvement

Good idea but no retina, no european titles, few bugs (touch centric UI for a non-touch Mac)

Good App, but a little buggy

This is a very good app for watching charts and reading news on the stocks. But it has 2 issues to improve: 1) It crashes sometimes during exiting or during start (if started at logon automatically) 2) The charts do not have logarithmic scaling of price (Mac mini, OS X Mavericks, App version 1.9.2)

Yosemite Update NEEDED !!!

Since updating to yosemite stocks from the health sector are missing the charts !!! please check this. not running correctly under yosemite 10.10 !!!

App is okay

App is okay, needs the ability to create your own portfolios/watch lists, more markets ie. TSX, also no sign if the data is real time vs. delayed. Its a start but theyve got a lot to add in future updates if this is going to be a useful tool.

Doesnt work!

Ive never managed to get it to stop crashing. It starts up, black screen then crash! I emailed their support a few days ago without response. Waste of money. Too bad cause the iOS versions are not bad.

good upgrade

The addition of retina support, as well as the startup crash fixes have made this a very worthwhile update. The app is now just like on iOS, which Im very happy with.

Beautiful & meaningful but has problems on multiple displays

Given the price $4.99 this is a beautiful example of information design. I have been using it briefly and it remains to be seen whether beautiful translates into practical. Time will tell, but the developer deserves praise for rethinking the stock quote and info app design. A lot of thinking went into this and I certainly appreciate the effort, the inclusion on Apple’s Best Apps of 2013 is well deserved. I do have one problem right away which is rather problematic. The app has problems with multiple displays. It works fine on my MacBook Pro display. But when I hook up a secondary screen (Apple’s 27 in Thunderbolt Display) Stocktouch starts behaving erratically. Some buttons stop working, the Stocktouch window either does not render, renders partially or renders but is not responsive to user input. This basically prevents me from using the larger display, not a deal breaker but annoying nonetheless.

Great App

Great App , but add Canadian Market, other then all good.

No Forex Market

Kind of a disappointment that they have no support for a Forex market on here. There is no indication otherwise in the app description that they dont support it. This app is totally useless to me as it has every market EXCEPT the one i invest in. After further review i can see a lot of people have raised this concern since 2012 but still no Forex market has been added. Would have been nice to know this before i bought the app. if I invested any of the other markets im sure this app would be wonderful, however i was mislead by manipulated marketing.

App doesn’t support 21:9 screen

My screen has a 21:9 aspect ration and the app automatically open in full screen. But is showing cropped on the top and buttom. So I am unable to see all of the tutorial at the beginning and I don’t have all of the buttons. It is impossible to adjust the resolution.

Nice, but no Toronto Stock Exchange?!

This is a nice app and I also like the iPad version (iPhone version needs work!). However, my biggest gripe is that it does not support TSX or ANY TSX stocks! You may as well not even list this for sale on the Canadian App Store.

Amazing!

Have to say fantastic graphic Idea, "patent pending” for a reason! Go guys! I would implement this concept for more applications in different fields!!

Very Good Work

Beatifully conceived, this app is a sparkling example of productivity piece of software made by elegance. Good implementation on the Mac. We wait for more European stocks, though.

Crashes. Does not start.

Waste of money… it does not start on any of my Mac Computers… MacBookAir 2012, i5, 8 GB, 512 MB Intel Graphics, MacBookPro 2012, 16 GB, 15", quad core i7, 2.8 GHz, iMac 2011, 21", quad core i7 Ask for money back… so far no return of "investment" !

Works Great!

The app has never crashed for me. Performs very well and the interface is very intuitive. Hats off to the development team. Keep the updates coming.

Only One Feature: Crashing

I can only assume that something is broken and causing the app to crash immediately upon launch. But until this is fixed, I can only review what I am able to see/do which is this: A featureless window that appears for less than 1 second, and immediately crashes. This does not fit the description in the App store, and so I must give this 1 star. Nothing in the screenshots or description match my experience and in its current state is about as useful as nothing at all.

Not worth $5

I am disappointed with this application and wish that I had an easy way to ask for a refund. It didn’t crash on open like many other reviewers were complaining of but there is no settings menu. Any experienced mac user is going to go right for command-coma to change the settings… nothing… no settings menu. Still not sure how to add favorites without blindly hunting through sectors looking for them, (Anyone with enough favorite stocks or a big enough watch list where this app would be useful would probably really appreciate being able to quickly add a lot of favs). At first i didn’t think there was any way to search for apps at all, but i just refused to give up on this app because i really really want it to work, finally I realized that the side bar wouldn’t load unless i first went into the help menu (forcing the app into an uncomfortably large almost full-screen mode), and then resizing the app again. I shouldnt have to resize the app twice every time I open the app. I am incredibly frustrated and disappointed by the whole experience and regret having made the purchase of the app. Update: Still no option to disable sound? Come on guys...
